LASCAUX CAVE MOSAIC
This work based on the Paleolithic paintings found in the Lascaux caves in France, and measures 3 feet by 1 foot and comprises of over 3,500 gemstones. The original images were painted on rock deep underground over 20,000 years ago, while its modern interpretation has been 'painted' with rock. The oldest art form recreated by one of the newest.
